Call for Abstracts
We invite abstract submissions for presentations at the Preventive Health Conference 2027.
The proposed theme for the 2027 Preventive Health Conference is ‘Prevention – It’s Everybody’s Business’.
The theme recognises that many of the most effective and sustainable approaches to improving health and wellbeing lie outside the traditional health system and focus upstream by addressing the social, political, environmental, economic and commercial determinants of health. Involving all relevant sectors and actors in prevention supports a more comprehensive, coordinated and effective approach to addressing these determinants of health and creates opportunities that no single sector could achieve independently.

Format and Requirements
We encourage submitters to think about the story they are telling, and how they will ensure the presentation is dynamic and engaging.
Presentation Type
We are asking abstract submitters to express interest in your preferred presentation format.
Please note that the Scientific Advisory Committee reserves the right to allocate a difference presentation type, if appropriate.

Responsibility
If there is more than one co-author and/or presenter, all correspondence will be sent to the person (name and email address) who SUBMITTED the abstract in the portal. Please check your junk mail for correspondence.
It is the submitting author’s responsibility to ensure the correct version of the abstract is uploaded. Abstracts submitted should be checked for spelling and grammar as they will be published exactly as received.

About abstracts review, selection and notification
All abstracts are submitted for blind peer-review.
Based on the review process results, our Scientific Leads then allocate abstracts to the program.
This process takes time and we appreciate your patience.
The contact person (who submitted the abstract via the portal) for each abstract will be notified of the outcome of their abstract submission via email by mid-December 2026.
Workshop EOIs
The Conference Advisory Committee will open an Expression of Interest for Workshops in late 2026.
Workshops will be held face-to-face during the official conference days, in the allocated session time. Workshops may include interactive paper presentations, panel discussion, debate or interactive skills-based session. Workshops should seek to bring together the best available expertise on the topic under focus and should generally include contributors from a range of different institutions, disciplines or research groups. Workshops should have clear learning objectives and outline how the topic is aligned to the conference workshop themes.
Workshops are 90 minutes in duration and proposals should be submitted via the online Workshop EOI Submission portal below.
All presenters, facilitators and invited speakers in the Workshops, regardless of the nature of their presentation, including organisers, must pay a face-to-face registration fee. All presenters must register at the time of confirming their acceptance of the workshop and pay the conference registration fee.
